BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) (FOOTPATH 19 COYCHURCH LOWER) ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Coychurch in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily close the footpath set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary to enable site remediation, drainage, landscaping and associated engineering operations on land east of A48 (Crack Hill) and is necessary in the interest of public safety.
The Order will come into force on the 03/06/2021 and will continue in force for a maximum period of six months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.
The restriction shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The alternative route is via Footpath 18 Coychurch Lower.
Footpath 19 Coychurch Lower from its junction with the A48 at Point A (Grid Ref. SS 92857765) and proceeds in a north easterly direction for approximately 210 metres to Point B (Grid Ref. SS 93017778) continuing in an east north-easterly direction for approximately 330 metres to its junction with Footpath 18 Coychurch Lower at Point C (Grid Ref. SS 93337789). The approximate length of the temporary closure is 540 metres.
