We have heard from the The National Lottery who have said that we had made a strong application. However, other applications they received for consideration in July were stronger.
So, unfortunately, the answer is “No” but we are welcome to apply for funding for a reduced project and/or other projects in the future.
We are greatly disappointed but we will not give up. We will look at our options and the priorities identified by the current and future users of the building to see what can be achieved in stages, starting with the priorities identified in our consultations with Hall users and others.
In the meantime the Williams Memorial Hall is open for business and we look forward to some easing of distancing restrictions which would allow our larger groups to restart.
